Supra Surface
The focus of this project is the development of an adaptive surface. The strategy is to create a volumetric panel that emphasizes individual characteristics and combines it with a geometrically rational frame to achieve a reasonable level of feasiblity. The result is an asymmetrical component that obscures the underlying global organization of diamonds and hexagons. This geometric logic was chosen for its flexibility in component orientation and in facilitating twin and triplet relationships.
These components adapt to solar exposure by varying aperature size, projection distance, and component rotation. Their specific assignment within the global surface is informed by solar design analysis software. A simple frame makes this solution scalable for real application.
